Whitehorn’s Recycling Project

Vision

Our Action Team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum. We learned about sustainability topics and skills such as organics, recycling, resources, water waste which made us interested in pursuing an Action Project about the issues of proper recycling. This is important to us/our school/our community as lots of people in our community do not source their garbage into the appropriate bins.

Action

To fix these issues, some actions we could take are to have a challenge to see who can produce the least amount of garbage in one month. But first, we’ll need to talk to our teachers and our principal and learn more about the proper ways to recycle. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will be producing less garbage than now and educate more people on the importance of recycling.
