Vision

The goal of out project was to give students a hands on experience with renewable wind turbine. The project was aimed towards different grade topics, and levels including grade 11 and 12 physics, grade 11 environmental science and grade 10 auto shop / manufacturing.

Action

In conjunction with the Green Team, our schools environmental club, we purchased a wind turbine. Turbine power was researched in the grade 11 environmental science classroom, assembled in the auto shop where students designed and created a base and the grade 11 / 12 physics class hooked up various different contraptions that could be powered by the wind turbine.

This project and the LSF funding allowed us to work with renewable energy production we would not have been able to afford other wise. Thank you!
