The UN Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, the United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call to action by all countries to improve health and education, reduce inequality, tackle climate change, and more.
The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for exploring sustainable development, so LSF has adopted them to guide our programming leading up to 2030. Student Action Projects on Our Canada Project are tied to the SDGs to show how young people across the country are contributing to a sustainable future.
