Vision

Our vision for Canada is to educate people from a young age about all the ways in which they can contribute to the sustainability of our beautiful country. This is important to us/our school community because acting sustainably is something that has to be a conscious choice. We as individuals need to be equipped with knowledge of sustainability issues in order to effectively address them.

Action

Based on attending the EcoLeague Youth Forum on October 26, 2017, we learned about sustainability topics and skills such as safety when biking to school and efficient water usage techniques. As a population, we can be doing more to ensure safety when biking as well as smart usage of our shared water resources. To fix these issues, some actions we could take are talking to our parents to get inspiration for problem solving, as well as our friends, teachers, student council, principal, and even our mayor! We hope that by the end of the school year, we will be able to raise money and awareness, share sustainability knowledge with our peers, and make our community greener!
