Queen Street’s Bee School Project
Vision
Our Action Team attended LSF’s Youth Leadership Forum. We learned about sustainability topics and skills such as maintaining our environment, conserving our native species, waste management, and seed bombs, which made us interested in pursuing an Action Project about the issues of saving pollinators, such as honeybees and butterflies. This is important to us/our school/our community because if pollinators go extinct, this will directly affect us.
Action
To fix these issues, some actions we could take are to become a bee school and create a bee friendly environment in our school garden. But first, we will need to talk to our teacher and check in with our principal and apply for grants and do some fundraising as well as learn more about bees environment, what they like, how to apply to become a bee school. We hope that by the end of the school year, we will achieve the titles of a bee school and a bee city!
