Students will bring about better air quality through knowledge and tree planting.

Action

Students learned about the different parts of Air Quality in the classroom, then spent 4 weeks with pocket air monitors studying levels of Ozone, Carbon Dioxide and Particulate Matter. They then used this collected data to create graphs and determine where good spots may be to plant trees. Partnering with Strathcona County Land Planning, students then planted 30 White Spruce trees in May.
