Vision

Students formed a lunchtime Art club called ARTivists to create Art and spread awareness about Climate Change, and what we can do to work towards a sustainable future.

Action

Students created earrings, keychains, buttons, posters, etc. with an environmental theme to hand out to our school community, bringing awareness to the cause. We also created a recycle depot within our Art classroom so that we could reduce waste and collect materials to repurpose into Art. Materials include cardboard, bottlecaps, plastics, etc. that will normally be thrown away at school.

Reflection & Celebration

We are just at the beginning of this initiative, and already the school is buzzing about what we can do to help protect the environment! We will continue and grow ARTivists for years to come 🙂
