Vision

Our vision was to incorporate a LOMI composting machine into our classroom to help reduce food waste from our snacks and lunches.

Action

We did some hands on learning about composting and food waste. We learned how to sort our garbage correctly, and weighed out our food waste each week. Over our learning period, we saved 5 pounds of food from going to the landfill.

Reflection & Celebration

We shared our classroom learning with our school during a full school assembly. We made a video news broadcast and shared it.
