Vision

To purchase compost bins to place in our schoolyard to collect garden and food waste to create compost for our gardens.

Action

We purchased a 330L compost container for our garden and 6 x 7L kitchen compost collection bins (and compostable bags) to collect food waste from each school hallway, staff room and the foods lab.

Reflection & Celebration

We are knee deep in winter, so are waiting until spring to install the outdoor bin, but students are already excited to start our collection. We can truly celebrate in the Fall of 2021, when we can harvest our first compost to add to our school vegetable and native plant gardens.
