Vision

To teach students how to grow and cultivate their own food/herbs and improve their own food security whilst offseting carbon emissions in the process.

Action

We grew a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs from seed with our students using natural sunlight and some high efficiency LED lights over the cold months.

Reflection & Celebration

It was surprising to see how little students knew about growing plants or recognizing various species. As a result it was a delight to watch them get engaged with the process of planting seeds and caring for their needs as they grew.
