Vision

Our vision was to continue to grow our living walls using plants that we can eat, medicinal herbs and air purifiers. We plan to use the medicinal herbs for educational purposes. The edible plants will be used in our breakfast program. The air purifiers will be used in our classrooms. We hope to become a more eco-friendly school.

Action

Our plan was to purchase and plant the plants in the spring. However, due to COVID-19 and the restrictions placed on us by the school and the government, we were not able to purchase the plants until a few weeks ago. The plan will be for the grade 8 students to take care of the plants in their classroom. Once the weather is nicer, the plants for the medicine wheel garden will be transplanted into the garden, and the living wall plants will continue to be taken care of in those classrooms.

Reflection & Celebration

In the Spring, we will transfer the indoor plants outside to the medicine wheel garden. We will be able to eat plants that we have grown. We are able to enjoy the beautiful plants that are hanging on the living walls daily.
