Vision

As a class, we would like to contribute to the community by planting a garden that contains plants and flowers that will encourage bees and butterflies to pollinate. We understand the importance of these species to our planet and we want to do our part.

Action

As a class, we planted a garden that contained native pollinating plants for bees and butterflies. The students learned about pollination and how this garden would help the environment. We also planted strawberry plants in order to grow our own fruit.

Reflection & Celebration

The children were so excited to see their finished garden and felt a sense of pride knowing that we helped our planet as well as two very important species. They have a new appreciation for bees and butterflies.
