Seeds for Students


By making vegetable seeds available for students and community members, we will make healthy food more accessible, cultivate an appreciation for growing food and help families to reduce their food costs and greenhouse gas emissions. We hope that we can ignite a passion for growing food that will students will come back to year after year.


We purchased carrots, lettuce, peas, beans and radish seeds and made them available over lunch in the middle of May.

We were surprised how enthusiastic students were, once they got over being shy about coming up to the table.
